About the Organization

The SC Upstate RedHawks are a professional basketball organization and registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to player development, community impact, and competitive excellence. Founded in 2015, the RedHawks bring over 10 years of experience competing across multiple leagues while creating pathways for athletes to advance from college to professional and overseas basketball.

A defining milestone in the organization’s history occurred in 2015, when the RedHawks competed in The Basketball Tournament (TBT)—one of the largest basketball tournaments in the world with a $1 million championship prize. That experience placed RedHawks athletes on a national stage against elite-level talent, including players who went on to the NBA and others already connected to the NBA system. Competing at that level helped establish the professional foundation and long-term vision of the organization.

Today, the RedHawks compete in the East Coast Basketball League (ECBL), continuing to provide exposure, structure, and opportunity for players seeking the next level. The team plays its home games at Greenville First Baptist Gym in Greenville, South Carolina.

Entering the 2026 season, the SC Upstate RedHawks are focused, motivated, and prepared to make noise—on the court and in the community.
