The Carolina Thunder have announced the signing of guard Daniel Carr. At 6'1" 190 lbs. Carr is a native of North August, South Carolina.
Carr recently completed his four-year career at Queens University of Charlotte where he finished as the fifth all-time scorer in program history with 1,512 points. After the season he was named First Team All-Conference.
His senior season Carr averaged a team-best 17.3 point per game, 4.5 rebounds and 100 assists in 29 games. Carr also finished in the top 10 in several other statistical categories including field goals made (fifth), 3-point field goals made (ninth), and assists (second).
During his final campaign he surpassed Queens Hall of Famers Yogi Leo and Chuck Wittman, among others, including former teammate Todd Withers. A 2018 graduate, Withers played two seasons with the Grand Rapids Drive (NBA G-League) before signing with Fortitudo Bologna (Serie A) in Italy this past summer.
