Robert Colon added to Pirates roster
2/1/2021by Scott Ludwig

Winston-Salem State University alumni Robert Colon has agreed to join the Coastal Elite Pirates for the 2021 ECBL season. Colon wrapped up his college career in 2020 finishing in the WSSU top ten scoring list.

Over his four-year career at Winston Salem State (NCAA Division II) Colon became the second all-time leader in three point field goals made in school history, tenth in assists. The Jacksonville, North Carolina native is the 47th all-time leading scorer in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association history.

A lightning quick point guard who can create his shot at will, Colon is a knock down shooter. He connected on 37% from beyond the three-point line during his senior campaign at Winston Salem State, while averaging 16.9 points per game. Excellent in transition where he loves to put pressure on the defense by pushing it up the court.

Coastal Elite Pirates coach Jason Wallace commented on the signing saying, "We are excited to be adding Rob to our roster for the 2021 season. Rob is physical and very competitive. He’s a do-it-all guard!"
