May 10th Charlotte NC - The PrimeTime Players traveled to Charlotte NC to take on the Queen City Vipers in a rematch from March that saw the Vipers knock off PrimeTime 111-101. This matchup had major implications on the playoff picture with both teams still in the running for a 1st round bye in the playoffs, The Snipers came out hot to start the game with Guard Eli Smith scoring a quick 14pts, and Anthony Williams coming in off the bench and adding 8 as the Snipers took a 35-26 lead at the end of the 1st. The second quarter the Vipers were able to extend the lead to 16 before PrimeTime went on a nice run to close out the quarter, scoring the last 10 points of the quarter cutting the lead to 55-60 at the half. The 3rd quarter saw both teams amp up the defense as PrimeTime was able to double the scoring output of the Vipers 28-14 in the quarter led by 14 from Cornellius Reynolds and 10 from Jeremy Evans. Evans also blocked numerous shots in the quarter and collected 8 defensive rebounds in helping turn things around and gave PrimeTime a 82-74 lead starting the 4th. The Vipers tried to battle back in the forth and were able to cut the lead down to 3 twice but Chris Moore was too much down the stretch scoring 14 points over the last 4 minutes as PrimeTime took 111-106 win to secure their 10th straight division title. The Big Three for PrimeTime had its second straight game with them combining for close to a 100 points with Jeremy Evans leading the way with 32 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks. Cornelllius Reynolds added 31 points and 10 rebounds, while Chris Moore finished with 29 points and 9 assists, and PF Odell Turner was big on both ends of the court finishing with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and numerous big stops on the defensive end. The Vipers were led by Eli Smith with 27, Anthony Williams with 25, Keandre Marion had 19, and Jaylen Benson added 13 and 10 in his season debut. The Vipers can still secure the #3 seed in the Southern Conference with one win in there final two games.
