June 14th Columbia SC - The PrimeTime Players came into the playoffs with high hopes of winning the franchises 10th Minor League Championship after playing its best basketball in winning 8 straight games through April and May and winning their 10th straight ECBL Divisional Title. During the week big man Jeremy Evans was ruled out due to an injury and the league's top point guard Kerigan Farley was also unable to travel with PrimeTime due to the upcoming arrival of his second child. The game started with the Queen City Vipers pushing the pace early and using a balance attack with 8 different players scoring in the quarter led by Eli Smith with 7 of the teams 26, Chris Moore and Zeb Graham combined for 18 of PrimeTimes 23 and going into the second quarter both teams seems to be ready for a tight game. The second quarter the Vipers opened the league up by going up as many as 14, with Eli Smith again leading the way knocking down three transition three pointers before PrimeTime was forced to call a timeout to try and slow down the Vipers. Out of the timeout Chris Moore responded scoring 10 straight points for PrimeTime as they cut the lead to 4 before Daveon Bradford would knock down back to back baskets to push the lead back up as the Vipers went into the half up 58-51. The third quarter the #3 seed Vipers started taking control of the game with Allstar Marquise Gaines scoring 9 in the third and Bradford added 8 points as they took a commanding 92-72 lead into the 4th. The final quarter the PrimeTime Players were never able to make a run at the Vipers even though Isiah Cureton was able to score 12 in the 4th it wasn't near enough as Eli Smith had 14 in the quarter and the Vipers cruised to a 122-93 win over PrimeTime. The Vipers were led by Eli Smith with 31 points to go along with 11 rebounds and Davion Bradford finished with 23, Marquise Gaines 19, Anthony Williams 17, and Jaylen Benson with 11 to round out all the players in double figures. PrimeTime was led in scoring by Zeb Graham who finished with 28pts, Chris Moore with 23, Isiah Cureton 21, and regular Season MVP Cornellius Reynolds added 12. The Vipers will advance and play the Carolina Thunder next week in Waxhaw NC with the game being streamed live on the East Coast Basketball League YouTube Channel by High Level Media.
