August 28th Fort Mill SC - The Sparkle City Renegades led by Tyre Collins will be joining the ECBL for the 2026 season. The team will be based out Spartanburg, SC but will play home games in the City of Gaffney. Tyre will be the Head Coach/Owner for the new franchise and blew away everyone in attendance at the leagues meeting with his impressive presentation. Coach Collins has over five years of coaching experience at the semi-pro and recreational levels, along with training athletes at the High School and College ranks. He is dedicated to growing the basketball culture in Upstate South Carolina with his unique, player-focused coaching style combined with pushing the confines of traditional basketball. His staff will include Robert Collins A Marine veteran, pastor, and longtime business owner who will be the General Manager for the team and brings over 40 years of community leadership. Suleica Townes will be the Director of Basketball Operations and Maurice Daniels will be the teams Lead Assistant. Daniels is a former All State Guard at Dorman High School and played Collegiately at Erskine College, and also owns Strategic Success LLC, where he has helped send numerous athletes to play at the collegiate level.
