September 16th Fort Mill SC - The East Coast Basketball League announced that the North Carolina Capitals have been approved to return to the ECBL for the 2026 season. DeMarcus Oliver returns as the Owner and Head Coach of the Capitals who will be returning to Wake Forest NC. The Capitals were the Northern Conference Regular Season Champions in 2021 and were a Conference Finalist in 2023. Coach Oliver stated he appreciated the league allowing his franchise to return to the ECBL and he plans on contending for a championship in 2026.
