MANASSAS, VA — [December 14,2025] — The Park City Dreamers, Northern Virginia’s premier men’s professional basketball team, partnered with the Prince William County Office of Youth Services Juvenile Detention Center (PWC JDC) on December 14th to host an exclusive basketball clinic and fellowship event for the facility’s residents.
The initiative, part of the Dreamers’ "Beyond the Court" community outreach program, combined athletic skill-building with intentional mentorship. Players and coaching staff spent the afternoon leading drills, sharing personal stories of resilience, and engaging in "fellowship circles" with young men currently housed in the center.
“Our mission has always been to use the game of basketball as a catalyst for transformative change,” said Jeremy Coleman, Owner and President of the Park City Dreamers.“Visiting the Prince William County JDC isn't just about teaching a jump shot; it’s about showing these young men that their current circumstances do not define their future. We are here to fellowship, to listen, and to remind them that they are still part of our community.”
The Prince William County JDC provides secure residential programs focused on competency development, life skills, and preparing youth to successfully rejoin their families. Collaborative events like this clinic align with the center's goal of fostering pro-social development and positive peer culture.
“Programs that bridge the gap between our residents and positive community role models are vital to the rehabilitation process,” said Shanaqua Daniels, Volunteer Training Coordinator at PWC JDC.“Seeing professional athletes take the time to pour into these young men provides a powerful spark of motivation and a reminder of the opportunities that await them through discipline and hard work.”
The Park City Dreamers plan to continue their partnership with local youth facilities throughout the 2026 ECBL season, reinforcing their commitment to being "Dreamers" both on and off the hardwood.
