The Goldsboro Wings pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat the Carolina Panthers 102-93 on Sunday afternoon at Spring Creek High School. Goldsboro held a 23-14 lead after the opening period and maintained control through halftime, taking a 46-38 advantage into the break. The Wings continued their steady pace in the third quarter before using a 29-32 fourth-quarter surge to secure the nine-point win.

Kristopher Clark led the Wings with a game-high 34 points, providing a consistent scoring spark throughout the contest. Octavias Alston added 23 points, while Darius Best chipped in 14 points in a balanced offensive effort. Goldsboro shot 39.1 percent from three-point range and converted 21-of-23 free throws (91.3 percent), capitalizing on key opportunities at the line. For Carolina, Aundrea Grubb paced the Panthers with 27 points, and X’vetrias Rakin contributed 18. Jamir Deberry finished with 17 points in the loss. The Panthers shot 54.2 percent from the free-throw line and struggled to keep pace late as Goldsboro controlled the tempo down the stretch.

With the victory, the Wings improved their regular season standing to 2-0 while handing the Panthers a tough road defeat.
