ROLESVILLE, N.C. — The Petersburg Cavaliers delivered a dominant second-half performance Saturday evening, defeating the North Carolina Capitals 123–101 in regular-season conference action at Rolesville High School. The game began as a competitive battle, with Petersburg holding a slim 24–23 lead after the first quarter. The Cavaliers extended their advantage in the second period, outscoring the Capitals 34–28 to take a 58–51 lead into halftime. Petersburg broke the game open in the third quarter with an explosive offensive surge, pouring in 43 points while holding North Carolina to 27, creating a comfortable double-digit lead heading into the final frame. Both teams scored 22 points in the fourth quarter as the Cavaliers maintained control to secure the win. The Cavaliers were led by Jordan Crump, who scored 33 points while shooting efficiently and getting to the free-throw line consistently. Elijah Moore added 32 points, knocking down multiple shots from beyond the arc to help fuel Petersburg’s offense. Raemaad Wright contributed 26 points and 14 rebounds, providing a strong presence on both ends of the floor.
