April 18th Rocky Mount NC - The Park City Dreamers earned a hard-fought 125–122 victory over the Carolina Chosen Lions on Saturday afternoon at Rocky Mount Prep School, securing a key win in a tightly contested matchup.
Both teams battled throughout, with Park City holding a slight 31–28 edge after the first quarter. Carolina Chosen responded in the second, outscoring the Dreamers 35–32 to take a narrow halftime lead. The turning point came in the third quarter, where Park City erupted for 39 points, swinging the momentum back in their favor. Despite a late push from the Lions in the fourth, the Dreamers held on down the stretch to secure the three-point win.
Park City’s offense was led by a balanced attack, with Jr Jenkins delivering a standout performance with 30 points, including a strong showing from beyond the arc. Jamal Washington added 28 points, while Antonio Warner contributed 19 in an efficient effort. Byron Scriber chipped in 15 points, helping fuel the Dreamers’ offensive surge.
As a team, Park City shot 47.0% from the field and knocked down key free throws late, finishing 17-of-24 from the line (70.8%). Their third-quarter explosion proved to be the difference in a game that remained close throughout.
Carolina Chosen was led by Isaiah Alston, who poured in 26 points, while Shaquan Moore added 24 and Sha’Kei Hines contributed 18. Montrell Williams and Marcus Harrison also provided scoring support, but the Lions were unable to overcome Park City’s timely scoring runs.
Park City’s ability to respond in key moments and execute down the stretch ultimately sealed the win, as they continue to build momentum.
With the victory, the Dreamers improve to 2–7 on the season.
