April 25th Marion SC - The Carolina Thunder picked up a strong home victory Saturday evening at AC Tollison Gymnasium, defeating the Gastonia Snipers 127–114. With the win, Thunder improve to 4–3 on the season, while Gastonia drops to 8–2.

Carolina came out with energy, jumping ahead with a 33-point first quarter and setting the tone early. Although the Snipers battled back and kept things competitive through the middle quarters, the Thunder maintained control behind consistent scoring and timely runs. A 35-point fourth quarter helped Carolina close the door and secure the win.

Balanced scoring was the key for the Thunder, with multiple players stepping up offensively. Patrell Rogers led the way with 34 points on an efficient shooting night, while Demetrius Knox added 27 points. Bryson Mozone contributed 26 points and controlled the glass with 10 rebounds, giving Carolina a strong inside presence. D.J. Mason also made a major impact, finishing with a double-double of 13 points and 16 rebounds.

Gastonia had solid performances of their own but struggled to match Carolina’s consistency. Keandre Marion led the Snipers with 28 points, adding 12 rebounds and 11 assists for an impressive triple-double effort. Yakim Jenkins chipped in 24 points, while Glen Bynum Jr. added 23. Despite the production, Gastonia shot 47% from the field and couldn’t keep pace with the Thunder down the stretch.

Carolina’s ability to spread the scoring and finish strong in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference, as they continue to build momentum heading deeper into the season.
