Wolfpack Pick Up Win Over Capitals 107-99

April 25th Wake Forest NC - The Winston-Salem Wolfpack secured a hard-fought road victory Saturday night at Rolesville High School, defeating the North Carolina Capitals 107–99 in a competitive matchup.

Winston-Salem came out strong early, putting up 37 points in the first quarter to take control of the game. The Capitals responded in the second quarter with a 35-point surge of their own, tightening things up heading into halftime. From there, the game remained competitive, but the Wolfpack made key plays down the stretch, including a 33-point fourth quarter to seal the win.

NiQuan Cousins led the way for Winston-Salem with an outstanding performance, finishing with 37 points while shooting efficiently from the field and controlling the tempo offensively. Jahlil Rawley added 24 points and was a major presence on both ends, contributing rebounds and defensive plays throughout the game. Antonio Robinson chipped in with a solid all-around effort, helping facilitate the offense and keep the Wolfpack balanced.

As a team, Winston-Salem shot 42.9% from the field and controlled key moments late, finishing with 29 assists and strong execution in the fourth quarter.

North Carolina was led by Dyron Jones, who scored 29 points while adding 9 assists and 5 steals in an impressive all-around effort. Donovan Martin recorded a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds, providing a strong inside presence. Hardy Paul contributed 13 points, but the Capitals struggled with efficiency, shooting just 38.3% from the field and 25.7% from three-point range.

In the end, Winston-Salem’s fast start and ability to execute late proved to be the difference, as they picked up a key win on the road while the Capitals came up just short.
