Winston-Salem Wolfpack Rally Past SC Upstate RedHawks 125–120 Behind Dominant Fourth Quarter

May 2nd Greenville SC - The Winston-Salem Wolfpack delivered one of the most impressive comebacks of the weekend, rallying past the SC Upstate RedHawks 125–120 Saturday evening at Greenville First Baptist AYMC.

The game opened with SC Upstate setting the tone early. The RedHawks came out aggressive on the offensive end, putting up 33 points in the first quarter and following it with an explosive 41-point second quarter, taking control of the tempo and building a strong lead heading into halftime. Winston-Salem kept pace offensively with 27 points in the first and 36 in the second, but still found themselves trailing after a high-scoring first half.

Out of the break, the RedHawks continued to apply pressure.SC Upstate added 33 more points in the third quarter, maintaining their advantage as both teams traded baskets in a fast-paced, offense-heavy period. Despite strong scoring efforts from the Wolfpack, the RedHawks appeared in control heading into the final quarter.

Then everything changed. Winston-Salem flipped the game in the fourth quarter with a dominant two-way performance. The Wolfpack erupted for 32 points in the final period while locking in defensively and holding SC Upstate to just 13 points, completely shifting the momentum. Key stops and efficient scoring fueled a decisive run that erased the deficit and put Winston-Salem in front late.

Despite shooting efficiently and controlling the game through three quarters, the RedHawks struggled to generate offense late against the Wolfpack’s tightened defense.
