May 2nd Manassa VA - The Park City Dreamers used a dominant second-half performance to pull away from the Carolina Panthers, earning a convincing 123–94 victory Saturday evening at Osbourn Park High School.

Carolina came out with strong energy and controlled the early pace of the game. The Panthers opened with 27 points in the first quarter and followed it up with 29 in the second, finding success offensively and building early momentum. However, Park City stayed within striking distance and began to find rhythm late in the half, highlighted by a 38-point second quarter that shifted the tone heading into halftime.

Out of the break, the Dreamers took full control. Park City erupted for 34 points in the third quarter while holding Carolina to just 19, flipping the game and building a double-digit lead. Their defensive pressure increased significantly, forcing turnovers and turning them into easy scoring opportunities. That momentum carried into the fourth quarter, where the Dreamers added 30 more points and again limited the Panthers to 19, closing the game on a dominant run to secure the win.

The difference in the game ultimately came down to efficiency, depth, and defensive activity. Park City shot an impressive 53.5% from the field and generated consistent offense through ball movement and unselfish play. Jamal Washington led the scoring effort with 23 points, while Everett Fields Jr. added 18 points on efficient shooting. Chris Knight contributed 17 points, and Antonio Warner delivered an all-around performance with 15 points, 8 assists, and 6 steals, helping control the pace on both ends.

Inside, Emmanuel Miller provided a strong presence with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Jr Jenkins chipped in 12 points and Byron Scriber added 10. As a team, the Dreamers totaled 28 assists and forced 26 steals, a clear reflection of their defensive intensity and ability to create extra possessions.

Carolina, despite a strong start, struggled to maintain that same level of production in the second half. The Panthers finished shooting 44.0% from the field and were unable to keep up with Park City’s pace after halftime. Mike Goree led the team with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Sidney Knox added 17 points on efficient shooting. Joel Safo contributed 16 points, and Dana McAfee added 14, but the Panthers were limited offensively as the game progressed.

Turnovers and defensive breakdowns proved costly for Carolina, as Park City capitalized repeatedly and continued to extend the lead throughout the second half. After a competitive first half, the Dreamers outscored the Panthers 64–38 after halftime, turning the game into a decisive victory.

In total, the matchup featured 217 combined points, but it was the Park City Dreamers who controlled the game when it mattered most. Their ability to adjust defensively, combined with balanced scoring and efficient shooting, proved to be the difference.

Meanwhile, the Carolina Panthers showed flashes early but will look to regroup after being outpaced in the second half. As the season continues, Park City builds momentum with a complete performance, while Carolina searches for consistency moving forward.
